As a result, the amount of fragrance oil added to the wax may be limited to prevent it from overpowering the visual design of the candle. The hot throw from a sculptural candle is lower than that of a container candle because their unique shape and design often results in a smaller surface area of wax that is exposed to the air. This means that less fragrance oil can be released into the air, leading to a weaker scent. Additionally, sculptural candles may also have a more dense wax composition, which can further limit the release of fragrance oil.
